Cataldo has a PhD in Biology and several years of experience in scientific research across diverse fields. After a post-doctoral position at UCLA, in the Departments of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology and Neurobiology, he moved to the Institut Pasteur and Institut de la Vision, Paris, where he studied the physiopathology of retinal photoreceptors implementing diverse microscopic techniques. He has expertise in histological and immunohistochemical preparation methods, advanced light and electron microscopy techniques, and image analysis.
Valentina has a PhD in Physics; she has nearly 10 years of research experience in biophysics developed between London at Imperial College and Paris at Institut Curie. Her research interest always focused on the design and development of biophysical tools, in particular microscopy and fluorescence techniques, aimed at the studying of cell functioning and cell mechanics. The interdisciplinary environment she encountered made her a scientist at the edge of physics, biology and chemistry.
She joined abbelight team in May 2018 to help futher develop nanoscopy and other imaging tools at the need of the scientific community.
Rym has a PhD in Physical Chemistry with a strong background on bacteriology and advanced fluorescence imaging techniques. She is also highly experienced in biochemistry, particularly applied to the optimization of sample preparation for single molecule localization microscopy techniques. After a postdoc at INRA, she joined abbelight in May 2018 as a Microbiology Applications Scientist.
Graduated with a Master’s Degree in Cell Imaging from Rouen University, she’s double-skilled in Cell Biology and Optics, with particular experience in Single Molecule Localization Microscopy techniques, related sample preparation and image analysis. She decided to join abbelight appliation team in February 2018.
